I started making this a few days ago and it's been my obsession to try to finish it.
Why, yes! Those ARE real box-pleats around the neckline and sleeves, thanks for asking.
The caraco is made of cotton floral print fabric, and lined in a cream colored cotton. It's nice and light.
As an added neat-o feature, the ribbon used on the neckline pleating is extended a few more inches to allow to be tied in a pretty ribbon on the front. Nifty, I know...
