Top Hat Tutorial 2

Description

It's finally finished.
I hope you enjoy it, if anything is unclear, please feel free to leave a comment, I will try to elaborate. I'm prettysure everything is clear, but I made the hat, so it might not be clear to everyone.

Here's mine!

Part One

Edit: The reason I have not put what the seam allowance values, is simply because the fabric has to fit snugly against the cardboard base. I don't want to put a set amount, and have wrinkly hats out there. Thicker fabrics will fit differently than thing ones. So, if you make the hat, sew it to make it as snug as possible to the base, and then cut off the surplus, leaving approximately 1/4" seam allowance.

**If you use this tutorial to make your own hat, please have the courtesy of putting a link back to my tutorial, and leave a comment here with a link to your deviation so that I can see your masterpiece!!

love this tutorial, but why not sew it with the cardboard inside? i've made three top hats (haven't posted them on da) with this tutorial, and have done it with the cardboard in each time, mostly because im pretty sure i'd fail utterly if I took it off, and haven't had any issues yet.
